Jacob Grillo MBA, PA-C (Telehealth, Monroe)
Jacob started his medical career as an Army combat medic where he served honorably for 4 years with one tour to Afghanistan. After a few year break from medicine, he was accepted to the Physician Assistant program through University of Washington. He graduated in 2015 on the Deans list and was one of the first to become certified in his class.
He has been in practice since 2015 and involved in many aspect of addiction medicine to include outpatient, detox, and residential treatments.
During his time as practitioner in the Washington Correction system, he has also developed a passion for psychiatry as a result of his seeing the devastating effects of poorly managed psychiatric conditions
He is now the proud owner of CONQUER and is passionate about making co-occurring treatment available to all who need it by reducing as many barriers to care as possible.
Geoffrey Godfrey, ARNP (Telehealth)
Geoffrey Godfrey is a skilled board-certified Nurse Practitioner who is excited to accept new patients at CONQUER in Monroe, WA. He has worked with individuals suffering from Substance Use Disorder, chronic pain, and associated stigmatized care for decades. He works daily to end the stigma attached to mental health and Substance Use Disorders, from modifying stigmatizing language to changing the way providers interact with their patients. Mr. Godfrey’s approach to bridging the gap of Chronic Pain and Substance Use Disorder diagnoses involves using a patient centered/patient controlled plan to incorporate his own creation of a 14 point Pain/SUD protocol that focuses on “Functional Pain Treatment”, rather than “Pain Management”. Mr. Godfrey received his Nurse Practitioner education from University of Phoenix, and is a member of American Society of Addiction Medicine, as well as the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. He is bilingual in English and German. Mr. Godfrey is also a former Army medic and understands the complexities of trauma-driven illness. Mr. Godfrey is passionate about helping his patients make changes to improve health; this includes giving them new vocabulary to describe their treatment and health goals.
Christi Dahlgren, PA-C
Christi was raised in a small town in Washington state and is the first college graduate in her family. She began her healthcare career as a registered nurse, working in stem cell transplant and infectious disease at Fred Hutch Cancer Research Center in Seattle. She continued her education at the University of Washington School of Medicine for physician assistant studies and obtained her master’s degree in medical science.
Christi spent the majority of her PA career working inpatient as a hospitalist, where she developed a robust foundation in internal medicine. An advocate for mental health, she also began working in telemedicine and has found this space to be equally purposeful and impactful as in-person care. She is grateful to be a part of the Conquer team and is inspired to continue improving access to care in those who need it the most. When she is not working, you can find her volunteering on various PA professional committees or traveling abroad..
Yvette Esparza ARNP, CARN-AP (Telehealth, Oak Harbor)
Yvette is a board-certified addiction specialist and has been working in the addiction field since 2014, employed at Island County Jail and Juvenile Detention center as the Medical Director. While working in correction medicine she saw the incredible need for mental health and addiction medicine and started the first MAT program in the Washington Jail system and has been providing outpatient mental health and addiction health care for those in need since 2015.
While attending Purdue University, she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Chemistry and Psychology. She spent 15 years in the United States Navy and while in the Navy, attended the University of Colorado and obtained her Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner education as well as my board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner license. Her early years were spent working in Emergency medicine and she has worked both in occupational, chronic pain and aesthetic medicine as well.
She enjoys building strong connections through empathizing, motivating and inspiring those she works with.
